As a solo GISer for my company, I have the great advantage of holding 2 roles in my position. I enjoy holding down the fort in the private-sector industry of development, while learning the codes, development standards and GIS representations for almost all jurisdictions in King County, and some of Pierce and Snohomish County. Having the opportunity to be innovative is a great reward - but I must rely on the GIS community in order to do so!
