Geoff Almvig – GIS Manager, Skagit County
I have been the GIS Manager for Skagit County for 27 years, and have worked in local government for 34 years. During this time, I have worked with many spatial technologies as they have evolved. In 2007, our GIS Department was recognized by ESRI for innovative use of GIS technology with a Special Achievement in GIS award. I'm currently a member of URISA and the Project Management Institute (PMI). I servered a 3 year term on the board of the Northwest Incident Management Team. I continually strive to provide the best possible service for county employees and the general public. I received an Industrial Technology degree from Eastern Washington University in 1984.
